Frequently Asked Questions
Below is a list of some of the questions we get asked regularly. Take a look to learn more about how are programs work. Please don't hesitate to contact us with additional questions.
Can we feed the animals?
Unfortunately no. We do not allow feeding during any of our events. Our animals are all on different diets and sometimes eating too much or foods they are not used to can make them sick.
Can we hold the animals?
Sometimes. This really depends on the animal and is at the discretion of the handler. Some animals like being held and others do not.
Do you bring fences for the animals?
Yes, we bring our own fences and containment so there is no need for you to provide a fenced area.
Do you clean up after the animals?
Yes, we clean up after every animal during your encounter as well as before we leave. Our policy is to leave the location as clean as we found it.
Will the animals ruin my grass?
Usually no. Most animals will only eat the grass and will not cause any damage. If the animals are scheduled for several hours then the grass will be worn down. The pigs can be a problem with grass. They like to rut and dig which does tear up grass. Sometimes they do leave small holes.
What type of area do you need to set up?
Ideally, the animals prefer to be on grass in the shade (during the warmer months). We can set up on pavement, dirt or gravel and in areas where there is no shade as long as we know ahead of time.
Can you set up inside?
Yes, we can set up inside: on a porch, in a garage, in a conference room, classroom, gym floor, banquet hall etc. When we set up for an indoor event we place tarps and turf to cover the floor where the animals will be. Some animals will have enclosures to keep them completely off the floor.
What type of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credits, payments through Zelle, business checks and cash payments. We do not accept personal checks.
What do you need for parking?
When traveling with larger animals we will need an adequate amount of space to park a full size truck and horse trailer. We do not have the same turning, backing and navigating ability when towing a trailer. A pull up to the curb parking space that can accomodate at least 3 vehicles is usually good. We will need to be close enough to our set up area to unload our supplies. We cannot carry our fences long distances. Unloading and parking somewhere else is acceptable.
Can you provide a Certificate of Insurance listing an additional insured?
We fully insured and can provide a certificate of insured listing an additional insured for an additional fee. We are charged by our insurance company for these certificates. Usually the cost is between $25-$50 but if there are addition insurance needs the cost could be more.
Are you licensed?
We are fully licensed. We hold a USDA license as well as a Class 3 Fish and Wildlife license.
Do people normally tip?
Sometimes, this is really at the discreation of the customer. Some private customers do tip our handlers and it is always appreciately. Our handlers are not allowed to eat, drink alcohol or participate in event affairs while handling animals.
